What a fantastic start to the Boardriders Year 2020!
Thanks to all for adapting to our new Live Heats system for signing up for membership and registering for the event. This process will end up saving ALOT of time for the club over the year as it stores all the information we need in a click. Ill do a seperate blog on this, we love it! Back to the comp…
Epic turn out of 60 competitors, held out at Waimarama, spectacular day, not too hot or cold, BBQ cranked, was a great family day at the beach.
Definitely a highlight was the addition of the Learner Division, how cute were they all! We think it ran well to have the final heat of the Learners last, this allowed them to put a rashie on and be part of the main podium with everyone cheering for them.
Congratulations to everyone that participated, these local club rounds are there as a community day, for everyone to meet and mingle, enjoy our beautiful area and if youre wanting to volunteer, upskill, learn about how to take your surfing to a national level, become part of our Surfing, Environmental or Community Sector, this is the day to have a chat on how you can do that.
